Omkareshwar Parikramar (Holy Walk), Madhya Pradesh by nikkirixon1

In mid November hundreds of thousands of pilgrims descend on Sangam to bathe in the sacred waters of the Narmada and Kaveri Rivers, and then do a 7 kilometre holy walk around the island and do puja on the banks of the river. At the end of the walk they gather on the ghats and bake batimake (chapatti balls) on open fires.
