Africa Scores! Exhibition and Africa United Book Launch by nikkirixon1
Africa Scores!

Africa Scores!

My work will be featured in the Africa Scores! exhibition in Amsterdam on 11th June. The interactive exhibition hosted by TwentyTen, in cooperation with the Tropenmuseum, will portray the six African countries competing in the 2010 World Cup and exhibit a selection of material produced for the Twenty Ten project.

In addition to a large photography installation, the exhibition will be filled with content from a real-time stream from Twenty Ten journalists and from reporters from lokaalmondiaal. The Tropentheater, the café of the museum, will be converted into a sports bar during the World Cup, broadcasting many of the matches. The exhibition runs from 11 June to 22 August and will subsequently head to South Africa.

Address & opening times information for the Tropenmuseum can be found here.

Africa United Book

Africa United - The Road to Twenty Ten

Some of my images have also been published in the book Africa United: The Road to Twenty Ten, launched recently at the Amsterdam Arena. The book was edited by Stefan Verwer, Marc Broere and Chris de Bode and published by Kit Publishers. In the book, African photographers and journalists depict the role of football and its impact in Africa.
